Azrael’s Accomplice Designs

Azrael’s Accomplice Designs opened in 1996 as an outlet for owner Tracy Robertson’s historically-inspired clothing. Robertson was frustrated by the poor quality and unimpressive designs of some of the contemporary gothic clothing designers. gd36“Far too many times these days alternative clothing is now considered something cheap or tacky,” Robertson explains. “Part of my design mission has always been to show that alternative or gothic clothing doesn’t have to be cliché and can be very high end and elegant.”

Robertson blends elements of fantasy, history and Asian fashion into her creations. Most of her line is couture and high-end. “I don’t see my clothing as something you have to put on day to day, but something you wear to feel special.” Much of Robertson’s line consists of beautifully crafted corsets, skirts and gowns. gd55Typical price ranges fall anywhere between $100 – $5000 or more depending on the item, and almost any item in her line can be custom-sized. Azrael’s Accomplice Designs offers alternative and couture wedding gowns as well as one of a kind custom-made pieces.
