So for a while now I have been on a Vampire kick. It started with True Blood and The Twilight series. Next thing I knew I was hooked. Here are some suggestions on some series of books that you might want to read. I have read every single one of each of the series and can not wait for the writers to do more.
The Sookie Stackhouse Novels / True Blood / Southern Vampire Novels
The books are great. They are really easy to read and go with the TV series True Blood. Just keep in mind that the show and the books do not follow each other exactly.
The Black Dagger Brotherhood.
These I really enjoyed, but I have to warn you that the further the books go, the darker they get. These are not your light stories. It’s a different twist on vampires. There is lots of sex, violence and romance. These books are not for the weak of hearts.
The Anita Blake Series
Another series where the further you go in the books the darker it gets. There is some sex, ok who am I kidding there is a lot of sex. Don’t want to give it away…LOL
The Strain
Now this is co-written by Guillermo Del Toro. The book is as good as his movies. The start of this book is creepy as hell. It’s a different twist on the vampire legend. There are 2 more books to come.
